AJ2013 - Dream It - Live It
Program

Camping together with 13,000 Scouts from across Australia and the world is only part of the story, there’s also huge range of activities on offer at AJ 2013 both at the Jamboree site and offsite.

On top of this there is a Jamboree Award that you can earn for taking part in the activities.  It’s something different at each Jamboree so I can’t tell you what the award is, but it’ll be something cool!

The theme of the Jamboree is “Dream it Live it” and the goal of the Program Team is to make every Scout’s dreams come to life.

At the Jamboree you will be part of a Jamboree Patrol, just like at your home Troop. As a member of a Jamboree Patrol you will participate in half-day on-site activity “zones” and full day off-site activities backed up at night by activities in the night time entertainment precinct.

Be warned, there is so much to do at AJ 2013 that you may need to sleep for a week to catch up when you get home.

To whet your appetite for AJ2013 outlined below are some of what the AJ2013 Program has to offer.  The Program Team makes no apologies for all the mud and sand you will encounter while at AJ2013.

Off Site Activities

While at the Jamboree your patrol will go on four full-day off site activities.

On Site Activities:

While on site at the Jamboree your patrol will participate in “On Site Activity Zones” which are identified as half day blocks in your Patrol Program.

These Zones are:

Night Time Entertainment Precinct

The action at the Jamboree does not stop when the sun goes down.  Indeed, when the temperature starts to cool down the entertainment starts to heat up.

Night time activities at the Jamboree will be contained within a dedicated night time entertainment precinct which is separated from the campsites and allows Scouts to move between the night time activities without having to cross the Jamboree Site.

Night time entertainment at the Jamboree will include activities like the opening and closing ceremonies, DJ nights, live bands, movie screenings, talent shows, theatre, bush bands, competitions, jamboree radio, circus acts and acrobats.
